How Goes it?!

Soooo anyone else hungry?! Cause I sure am! I do great all day, and then under the cover of darkness, my inner food monster comes out and eats everything in sight! Like yesterday, a nice healthy Mexican salad for lunch at Hot Rositas and then a healthy dinner of Rosemary chicken and salad. Side note: have you had the rosemary marinade from Wegmans?! O.M.G. it may be the best chicken marinade I have had in a long time. Shameless plug: Go buy it, RUN to buy it; it was sooo delish on my salad. Drizzle a bit of EVOO and a few squirts of lemon juice as dressing and no joke, that’s all you need. But after eating that I was still kind of hungry, cause an hour later I had cheese and crackers. grrrr. But I shared some with Alfie...kind of. You see, I KNOW Alfie likes cheese and crackers, and we only had 2 sandwich slices of colby jack left, so the fatty/selfish in me decided to wait until I had happily devoured 1 slice by myself, to offer up a piece to him. Shortly after he says,"20 in 10, hand them over". Luckily I had scarfed down half already, so his attempt to score a better portion help my diet failed.

But to be fair, he kind of did it to me too....Last Saturday we had a day of errands that started bright and early, and just as we were packing up to head out Alfie commented on how he when we stopped at Wegmans, he was going to get a Cheese Bialli, because "I ALWAYS get one when I go" BUSTED. You see, he doesn’t come home with any. Which means he buys one and EATS IT IN THE CAR!!? So of course I jumped on it and said "wait, you get one every time?" at this point HE knows that I have connected the dots and he is about to get checked. So of course in disbelief I say" YOU EAT IT IN THE CAR". Now, we literally live like 3 mins from Wegmans, so he would have to devour it in order to finish before he got home. Who does that?? Ok, well I would technically do that to, but that’s beside the point. At least he had the decency to look shameful :) And I GUESS it’s better than bringing that temptation into the house. Right??

But now that I have you hungry, I will share my MOST FAVORITE recipe these days. It is way flavorful and way easy and healthy too!!

Chicken Tortilla Soup :( makes about 6 servings) about 240 calories per serving
1 can of Black beans (with its juice)
1 can of corn (drained) (or 1/2 a frozen bag)
2 chicken breasts
2 cans of rotel diced tomatoes
2 cans of chicken broth (ready to serve)
1 can of water
2 heaping spoonfuls of sofrito (Spanish gold) (since most don't have this dice 1/2 an onion and mince/press 2 or 3 garlic cloves)
1 salsa flavoring packet (I like mild, but you can pick medium if you want a kick)

Ok now for the hard part.... put it in the crock pot...all of it, together. **tip, wait until last to put the chicken in, that way you can taste the broth to see how it flavors for you and give it a good mix.
Cook on low for 8 hours (or I’m sure high for 4) and when it’s done shred the chicken (it will fallllll apart...mmm) It tastes great alone, or even better with a dollop of sour cream (light or fat free.... 20 in 10!!) and some cheese (fat free cheddar) and of course some broken up tortilla chips. If you think about it is wayyy healthy since its chicken, broth, tomatoes, beans and corn.

Alfie gave it a thumbs up, so we know it must be tasty :)

The best part, besides it being so easy is that you can tailor it to what you want. More soupy? Add in more broth. Thick and chunky? Add less water. You can add kidney beans or cilantro, a squirt of lime, more chicken, less chicken, canned salsa... It can really be whatever Tex Mex soup or stew you like! Enjoy!

**FYI Update: my wonderfully longtime (we go back to highschool..yo) friend Emily tried this using frozen chicken and said it worked perfectly!! Just be sure to add an extra half hour or so. Oh yeah and she said it was delish, sooooo easy and made a ton (which it does!!)!**

Phase II: 20 in 10

Confession: I am at it again! In it to win it!

Well I’m back on the boat after falling off for a few weeks. (yes, that’s boat not wagon, apparently the saying is "falling off the wagon", not sure where I got "falling off the boat" from, but I’m chalking it up to being Hispanic...we do boats, not wagons) But anyway, I’m back on the healthy-kick boat. Starting NOW. Perfect timing, since my breakfast was a brownie, a snack sized Snickers and snack sized Twix...perfection...PLUS i have a first birthday, a bachelorette and wedding all within the next 3 weeks. BUT that doesn't mean I can't try, right? Let’s call it practicing for the 2 weeks challenge a bunch of coworkers are doing starting Nov 1st in which we can't eat anything specific things: no bread, pasta, rice, sweets, pop or booze. But I figure, its only 2 weeks, I can be good live on coffee only /not eat for 2 weeks! Right? And there isn’t any real prize other than bragging rights, but it would be nice to say i beat everyone, like a stealth, weight loss machine... a dark horse in the competition, since everyone thinks this one chick will win. I have 10 more pounds I would like to lose. 20 if I want to look like a skeleton, whiiiiich I haven't quite ruled out yet.... I wonder if Skeletor would be a good look for me? I think I could rock the flesh and bones, hollowed out cheeks thing really well! Totally kidding people! I can hear the whispers of "she's got issues" from here!! (I’m sane, I promise).

But anyways, where was I? Oh yes, 10 pound goal. Let’s see, I technically have 2 weeks left to try to accomplish my 40 in 40, but I’m about hmm 20 pounds shy, so that’s prettyyyy doubtful (and way unsafe). So let’s deem this PHASE II: 20 in 10! There are 10 weeks left in the year and by 2012, I’d like to be 20lbs lighter (remeber, so i can look like a Skeleton! CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Who's with me?! Alrighty now that the goal is out there for all to keep me accountable, I need a plan. Like a "how to achieve the goal" kind of plan. I will use the past 20 pound method, of tracking my food, using my handy dandy notebook phone app: "My fitness tracker", I WILL pick back up with Zumba twice a week starting in November, and I will attempt to start some sort of weight/toning regime. Oh yeah and it would probably help if i stopped stuffing my face with pizza, wings, Chinese food and cookies. Lofty goals?? Not really, I was doing most of them prior to my "summer of slack" but now that the "Fall of Fitness" is upon me (clever, right?!) it’s time to buckle down and DO IT AGAIN…DO IT BETTER! Hopefully there are a few others out there who want in on my "20 in 10" or who want keep me on track and slap my hand when I reach for bad food. Alright, it’s time to do this!! Comment if you want in and we can do it together!:)

Lame-O

Confession: Sometimes i post lame blog posts just because i can....

Yeah, every once in a while i hit writers block, with either nothing good to write about, or too much to write about that pin pointing one topic is problematic, or too personal of a topic to put out there. Today is one of those days. And i knew that if i didn't post anything next thing i would know it would be 2 months later and i would have taken a super long unplanned writing sabbatical....

I'm currently munching on a Wegmans Coco pop snack thingy. You know, one of those bootleg, cardboard tasting rice cakes? They really do taste like cardboard with a slight Styrofoam feel to them. Appetizing i know. They aren't too bad with hummus though, which i enjoy but i wouldn't mind it being crumbled up and sprinkled over a bowl of ice cream drizzled with chocolate syrup and sprinkles. I bet then it would taste AWESOME. But hmm that would probably diminish the health factor its got working for it, right? I am doing great on my 40 in 40, by the way! Thanks for asking. Ahead of schedule...12 lbs in 10 weeks. Next milestone is July 25th, 10 lbs by then. Then i would be half way there (to my preWedding weight).

Ohh funny story. So Alfie and i were talking about when we think we would plan for a second boy Colton (first name or middle name will be Carter.... sorry Bethany, totally stealing your sons name, but see, I'm giving you props and some link love...go visit her page everyone, she is a rockin photographer, fun blogger and great momma!!) or girl Colton (name undecided), (no worries, not for a while) and for those who know how awful my pregnancy was, knows my comment was "when the memory of the awfulness fades", Now Alfie was from the camp of wham bam, lets have them close. Uhh heck no, thanks for asking though. I then proceeded to mention how I liked not feeling pregnant and not having my body look busted, or swollen or giant or huge or fat or ugly or uncomfortable or.... whoops sorry, I got lost in the awfulness.... And what followed was Alfie at his finest. "Well, why fix it only to break it again??" LOL ("it" would be my body, "fix" would be losing weight, and "breaking it again" would be getting giant...for those who didn't quite get it...) yes, he actually said that. And yes, i totally laughed, cause that's some funny spur of the moment , where's the censor, kind of Alfie speak. He probably would have told me to take off my "woman ears" and listen with my "man ears" (which is what he says now, but he didn't come up with it until later) so as to not "hear" him saying i was a fat or swollen or a hot mess, but to hear it like a man would in which he looked at it logically. Luckily i was listening with my "man ears" and heard just that, so could appreciate the humor for what it was (so take off your lady ears if you are thinking "omg i woulda smacked him for saying that" and throw on some man ears.)

OK, that's all i got for you today. You can go ahead and blame this post on the fact that its raining or take a tip from my buddy Jamie Foxx and blame it on the a a a a a alcohol (but I'm not drinking so technically you can't...lol).

Side note: I bought Skinny Girl Margarita, because duh, my girl Bethanny Frankel makes it, and YUM, i am a fan. I have to add lime juice and some salt, but I love that its super low calories and not so sugary like a lot of drinks. Pour over ice and MMMM yummy! My new summer drink! Try it! (but really, add salt and lime juice)

Lets Dance!

Confession:I am not a ho, i just dance like one.

Those who have seen me dance, know this to be true. And especially those that have seen me Zumba, REALLY know this to be true. And for those few folks who live under a rock and do not know what Zumba is, it is a very high intensity form of Latin cardio. The wonderful thing about is that although it is high intensity, you can make it whatever intensity you can do, AND it doesnt feel like a work out. It feels like an hour spent dancing. Believe me. That's the first thing people always say, "what? its the cool down already?!" So i just finished my first session (after quite a few months off) through the town parks and recreation, and ambitious me (and Christy and Shauna) signed up to do not only once a week but wait for it.... TWICE a week. Lord help us!! Now there is certainly a benefit to going with them, they can keep me accountable and force me to go when i am tired and would consider ditching, AND they provides loads of chuckles as they make fun of my stripper zumba moves. I can't help it. My hips and booty have a life of their own. I LOVE dancing, any kind (except slow dance...boo...so boring). Throw in loud, bass pumping, hip hop or Latin moves and home girl gets DOWN. Like really gets down...booty poppin, solo grinding, pursed lips, bobbing head...yeah for a good hour i am in a club, tearin.it.up...wait, we are in a gymnasium?? Noooo and there are 30 other people in there NOT club grinding??? FOR REAL?? uhh ohh! lol But honestly I really don't care. And i am sure people laugh at me thinking "doesn't she know this is a workout and not a club...whatta ho bag!" Haha, but that's OK, because i know if they are home by themselves they would dance like i do AND you get 10xs more the workout when you tear it up AND it is soooooo much more fun when you don't try to hold back and just go with the music. I do find i am much less ho-ey at weddings though (so brides breathe a sigh of relief. I wont give Grampa Joe a heart attack). Duh, for obvious reasons...people are sitting around just watching. And a lot of those peepers are older folks who would not appreciate the quality moves i am rockin'. I am not a fan of the younger peepers, those folks who don't get up and dance, but instead just sit and watch and laugh. With friends, i make it a rule NOT to make fun of people who get up and dance... why? because HEY they are at least getting up and moving. Good for them. I never quite understand why people don't like to dance? I am quite sure my skills aren't that great, but who cares, its just FUN!! So next time there is music and people dance.... then get up and shake yo tail feather, cause you know i will be! BUT if you REALLY want a good time (and want to see me ho-dance),then you have to zumba with me (or go to a club... something about the dim lights, loud music and cramped space brings out the 18 yr old in me), cause i promise you will LOVE it!!

Yo Momma....

Confession: Its my first mothers day!!

Happy mother's day to ME! yes thats right! Shower me with diamonds flowers and candy strawberries and champagne hugs gallore! Any holiday which celebrates me is okay in my book. Being the precise gift reciever that I am (meaning i don't generally like surprises, since i am kinda on the picky side of stuff) I got to pick out my actual mother's day gift, although the idea was all Alfie inspired. I got a "pandora" (in quotes cause its from Kay's not the REAL pandora, but i'm too cheap to waste money on the real thing, and I call it a pandora so people know what i am talking about). I was tossing back and forth about actually getting one... i didn't want to jump on the pandora bandwagon because they are the "it" thing and it seemed everyone and their mother had one. but we went in, and i tried it on, and i fell in love. So i's got me one (yes, i am THAT ghetto)!! Although, this will not be just any pandora, with beads chosen all willy nilly. Nope, mine will be ONLY black and white. the only color on it will be Colton's birthstone (which boo... is pink). So i have 2 beads and one birthstone thingy on it right now. And i can just imagine how adorable it will look in a few holidays :) (hint hint to family who read this...feel free to shower me with sparkly beady goodness...but only in black and white). I chose black and white because its nice and classic and in 10 years when pandoras are not the "it" thing, it will still look nice and i will have a snazzy piece 'o' jewelry to wear. Plus i wear a lot of black, so it will match well with 80% of my wardrobe...BONUS!

No huge mothers day plans for me...just doing some mother hopping (ie. visiting my mom, christy first, then leigh and cristen second), and no huge mothers day feast for me...probably something to promote my new health kick.

Sidenote: Can i just mention what alfie made for dinner last night.... hot dogs (my favorite) and freakin LOADED FRENCH FRIES WITH CHEESE AND BACON!! yeah i know, right.... but atleast he got me wheat buns, to make it somewhat healthy, and de-loaded the 5 fries I allowed myself... it took my entire being not to eat his whole pan while he was out grilling and then blame it on Nelly, or a ghost, or my alter ego Yolanda (remind me to blog on her some day...she is a BLAST and a half!!). but i refrained and then drowned my sorrows in a bag of "crack" (aka cadbury chocolate eggs) and a tall glass of Orange calories juice.

Anyways, back to mothers day. No big hoopla here. Just a casual afternoon... Although if someone would LIKE to make some hoopla in the morning (wait that sounds naughty...i meant plans) they may do the following... let me sleep in, watch Colton, and clean the house. Thats it. simple. easy peasy.

Ok, i know this was a lame post, but its Friday afternoon...there isnt much thinking ability left in this working momma. All my brain follicles (not what they are called but sounds good) are put to baby care and work, so whats left are poo bits of an intellect. Hmm weird way to end, but on that note...

Happy Weekend, and Happy Mommas Day!

Its my blog, I'll complain if I want to....

Confession: Im in a funk today...

Boo, i know. I tried 3 times between today and yesterday to write a successful blog but no such luck. So todays will be lame...sorry. Maybe its the rain, or the lack of sunshine, or the fact that i havent had a chance to blow dry my hair...(probably the blow dry, it makes me cranky)! Whatever it is is pretty bumming. The fat free icing to the low fat cake is the fact that i am dieting and STARVING! I want real chicken wings. I want a real burger. I want lasagna and cheese, pizza, bread sticks, loaded fries and potato skins! But i have 2 i repeat 2 weddings this summer and am dead set on dropping enough weight to look like a skeleton walking down the aisle. And yes, in my mind a skeleton is dead sexy... (haha good one) Okay, new topic...

We are steps away from finishing the kitchen table!! Its looks soooo linda...as in que linda! Its the same white as the trim and doors in the kitchen and the seat covers have this adorable floral print pattern that highlights the gray in the walls. I can't wait to be finished with it, so we can start tiling the backsplash or painting the cabinets! :) The kitchen is going to look so pretty....feel free to be jealous...i wont hate you. After the kitchen its the half bath or maybe the fireplace room...decisions decisions!

So I am getting the "not enough time" blues. Working Mommas chime in.... how do you do it? I will gladly take suggestions, advice anything! How do you put in a 40+hour week and then go home and be the house wife, momma AND maintain your sanity? Obviously people do it, but HOW?!? I just feel like I can never get the things done that NEED to be done, like dishes, or cleaning or laundry or workout or shower.... not to mention the room full of unpacked items that have sat there since the move. man if only i had put in how may times i just sat here and sighed.... its the rain, im blaming this post on the rain.... :/

Double the Confessy goodness...

Yes, thats right, you get 2 confessions today! Love it!

Confession #1: Not many people know I blog.

Weird, cause to most people the point of a blog is to put it all out there and have people read about it. True for some, but not necessarily for me. I have been blogging since I was young, but in those days it was called journaling and we used a notebook and a pen. I have a box full of my old journals and I LOVE to look back on them and chuckle at the things I said and people I wrote about. And now I have moved up to the world of blogging and my blogs now remain true to the style of journaling from back in the day. I write like I speak and I write like there is a person right here. I use parentheses’ liberally and my spelling and grammar are loosely based on the correct process. Which is fine for me because A. I don’t care and B. I don't like to stop my train of thought to figure out if what I wrote is spelled correctly or flows correctly (I like to pretend it’s not that bad). I still do the old school journaling process for important things like my letters to Colton, or my very deep and very personal feelings. Those will always remain in a notebook, handwritten.(wow just got serious there for a sec...boo)

On to the fun stuff... I try to keep my bloggies upbeat and fun, or at least a true reflection of my mood. I do get serious and I do get sad, and I do write about those times. Two in fact come to mind... my pregnancy and my unemployment. Those were very emotional and very tough and I will admit I was veryyyyy candid in my blog. Because although I may struggle to find the words verbally, I have no trouble putting my feelings on paper. (wait, wasn't I supposed to be talking about the fun stuff??) Ok, on to the fun stuff, take 2!

Confession #2: I heart free food!
So can I just gush for a second on how great it is to get free food?!?! So at work for the past 2 days our customer has been in the building and we put on a large meeting to go over the progress of the program with them. So that means that there will be catered meals (gotta step it up for the customer right?) And although myself and the other analysts (cost and schedule) do not have to attend the meeting, we do get the "leftovers". Yeah ok that doesn’t sound nearly as good as it actually is. But bear with me.... Obviously we have to let the meeting attendees eat first, but we all wait at our cubicles like lil starving puppies, waiting for the "ohh there is plenty of food, go help yourselves" from the admin. And then rush the tables like it’s our last meal! And every time it’s something delicious! Tuesday = jerk chicken, twice baked potatoes, green beans with EVOO and feta, tiramisu and assorted cakes for dessert; Wednesday = pulled pork, coleslaw, Mac n cheese, cornbread, and an ice cream bar with 20+ toppings!!!! Today I was told it is manicotti, probably with some sort of garlic bread and salad. And that’s just lunch. They also serve them breakfast and coffee/soda ALL DAY, which means we can pretty much wander over and snag drinks ALL DAY. LOVE IT! It was nice when I was pregnant (probably aided in the 50lbs gained) because they would ALWAYS say "oh go grab some food" welll before they let anyone else :) Or sometimes I would just go, whether or not they okayed it cause really, who is going to say no to a hungry pregnant lady!? (preggers get away with EVERYTHING... that just may have to be tomorrows blog topic, cause seriously it’s unreal!) Yes, I know you are thinking NOOOO PLEASE SAY YOU DIDNT EAT THAT!! WHAT ABOUT 40 in 40!?? believe me, I ate it, and thought about how I was wrecking my 40 in 40 (which meant I felt guilty all afternoon). BUT IT WAS FREEE! and in my defense, with the exception of the ice cream, I didn’t go overboard on portions and didn’t indulge in dessert. It’s a good sign though that at least I am thinking about it, right??? Yeah we shall see how I do with today’s menu...oye!

I wanna be UNMADE...

Confession: I no longer wanna be MADE...

Lol yeah i know, im lame when it comes to the running thing, but i just do.not.enjoy.running. AT ALL. Which is weird cause i was doing GREAT with my running for the lone week I actually did it. But then i got sick and BAM had to take a week off and never really go back on the horse. (If i am honest, i didnt care that much) but since then, 2 people have nailed down wedding day timings (summer and fall of this year) and both weddings include me! YIKES motivation! I am determined. DE-TER-MINED to lose this weight. And i have been doing very well sticking to my plan thanks to my new phone (yep i got one and YEP it has a list APP too!! yay) which has a calorie and fitness tracker in it. You can even scan the barcode on packaged items and it reads it! so cool.

TIME LAPSE

so i had a donut. If anyone cares it was covered in chocolate frosting and sprinkles and had 240 calories. 240 CALORIES!! But it did taste good, a little too good. And now i feel guilty. I have come to terms that i have a hearty mans appetite. Women always crave sweets, and for 9 months i ate like a picky woman, but now i am back to my lumberjack-cowboy-biker-man stomach. Id prefer a burger and loaded fries to a cupcake and dessert. I crave garbage plates over chocolate and ribs over ice cream. I can easily out eat Alfie and will pretty much try (and enjoy) any food with the exception of brussel sprouts... gag me! Is it weird i planned my meal for DW's Bday tonite already? I even allotted for 2 beers. Is that obsessive? Im ok if it is. because for then few months i plan to BE obsessive.I plan to be VERY obssessive. And if you see me eating something that will add pounds shout 40 in 40 right in my face or snag the food out of my hand and throw it away (okay dramatic, you could just kindly remind me).

Yep, i know, it looks good...

Confession: I am having a VERY good hair day!!

Usually with the schedule i have been keeping these days, the ability (and desire) to keep up with my hair has slipped and although i dont look like a Snaggle-puss (new word, i kinda like it!, go ahead and use it...) I do not always look like the well put together mamma I would like to. But last night i remedied that and actually blew dried my hair and this morning after Coltys 4am bottle, when he went back to sleep, i resisted the urge to snuggle in and fall back to sleep and instead plugged in the flat iron, grabbed some clips and when to town. And the result was a SUCCESS. Many compliments today from coworkers (made me kinda wonder if i generally look aweful? lol) but thats ok, i will gladly take the compliment and store it away for a rainy, frizzy, didn't- get- to -shower- so -my -curly- hair- is- in- a -ponytail kind of day. I know you are all wondering what its like, well its the usual flat ironed do with a bit of volume on top and i deepend my side part for a more dramatic look.... WINNING (to quote good old Charlie Sheen).

So, tomorrow is a good friend D.W's (we shall call him for anonymity purposes) birthday. A large group of us are going to the distillery and Mamasita is gonna watch Colty. So since it feels like i haven't been out in FOREVER, i need a GREAT outfit to wear out. I have settled on a white V neck ruffle shirt from NY&Co, jeans, my red DIY necklace and my red heels that i never get to wear, because come on... with a baby i can't quite wear 3 inch heels AND carry a 15lb baby and carseat. Nope, not happening! (still debating on wearing black instead, since its slimming, but the white shirt is really cute! I will let alfie make the final call) Slightly bummed that my 40 in 40 plan is going to limit my eating (and drinking, for that matter) BUT if i can make i through the weekend (this one especially, lots of gatherings where piggingout it the thing to do) then i can easily make it through the next 40 weeks...right? (humor me, ok?!) So all in all todays' great hair day BETTER extend into another good hair day tomorrow (when it counts) cause whats a good outfit if wasted on crappy looking hair, right? Oh well cheers to friday and cheers to a night out with "the crew"...

I wanna be MADE: Day 1

Confession: I totally think I can do this!!

Day 1 of my MADE project in which I attempt to become a runner, was a success!! The plan I used starts you off for the first week of running 1 min and walking 2 mins and repeating this 10x’s. Not bad. I found I had a bit more energy and “drive” then I anticipated and some life events were fueling the push to run, so all in all it wasn’t terrible! I am not even sore today! Although I am sure a lot of people will attribute that to the fact that I didn’t push myself BUT I think I should start out slower than usually and work up to really pushing myself when I have gotten into the habit and successfully held down the running fort for a few weeks. Anywho, amidst the playful jeers and joking about my MADE goals I forced myself to stick to my guns! Day 1 TAKE THAT! Day 2: Here I come!! Now if I could just tackle my eating…num num num! I will admit I have gotten better since the garbage bag I had become when pregnant. I would literally eat ANYTHING (exception was the first trimester but let’s not go back there) and as proof gained 50, yes that’s FIVE ZERO pounds. Gross. I attribute 30lbs to water weight and Colton and the other 20 is pure “I just couldn’t say no” consequence. Lesson Learned! Baby number 2 will NEVER be allowed to have that affect on me ( but that’s light years away, so…) Day 2’s running plan, is actually to walk for 30 mins, most definitely an attempt to ease you into it. That I can do!

Side note: Poor little Coltons adorably blue nursery (yes, the one we didn’t have to paint and even had blue carpet) is FREEZING! For some reason the heat is not flowing as powerful through the vent and to make things even worse, his windows are old, so there are some crazy drafts! On top of the fact that it is the farthest room from the furnace AND has two outside walls and only one heat vent. Poor baby has woken up each morning with chilled fingers. I think a move to another room is in store for his nursery this weekend. Boo hiss. It woulda just worked out perfectly to keep as his nursery! Oh well.

I wanna be MADE

Confession: I want to be a runner.

I feel like the teens on MADE. LOL I wanna be MADE: a Runner

Im now 28. I am married. I have an awesome little baby. I own a home. I have a wonderful job. God is good. Now I need to do a bit of house cleaning. As in body = house and cleaning = taking care of. I desperately envy those people who can say “man I could go for a run right now” as if their body needs that time, that release. I want to be that person running, lost in thought letting my legs and body take over. Too ambitious? I don’t think so! I found online an 8 week beginners guide to training yourself to run 2 miles, easily . mmmhmm right. Well here goes nothing…. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!! So for the next 8 weeks, I will blog about my adventures in running. Day 1 will be Monday – Valentines Day! Which means I have the weekend to mentally prepare. Oye! Here we go, I can do this, I can do this. World of running here I come!!

Interesting. You try it!

An Interesting Confession:Paperclips make me salivate. Crazy. i know, i totally just figured this out. So i had a plain metal paperclip on my desk that i began playing with. This then led to unfolding it out of its paper clippy shape into a semi straight metal stick. This then led to me putting it in my mouth. Well here is where it got weird. I was rubbing it on my back teeth and tongue and holy crap would get this tart sour taste. Not like metal tastes but the same effect that having something sour would do. My tongue started salivating as long as I kept the paper clip in the right spot. Like I literally could drool. awesome. I think its my crowns reacting with the metal. it feels all tingly and weird, i kinda like it. its been the highlight of my day. You try it. see if it works for you or if it really is due to my teeth.

Update: i think its just the tongue. Cause Im now sucking on the paperclip and it is doing it when I rub my tongue over it in different areas.

Go ahead...give it a try. Its like a weightloss version of a lollipop. Im totally selling this idea!
